Nicoló Reitano, known professionally as Nicky Hudson Jr. (NHJr.), is an Italian artist, producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and audio engineer, recognized as a pioneer in the emerging Ambient Hip-Hop movement.
Discovered by a label A&R in 2018, Nicky quickly began working with some of Hip-Hop’s most iconic artists, such as Dope D.O.D., Wu-Tang Clan, Onyx, and Infamous Mobb.
A highly self-sufficient visual artist, Nicky also directs and produces his own music videos, known for the heavy use of visual effects, and occasional appearances from notable figures such as Evita Stork.
His distinctive approach has earned him attention across major Instagram music-production networks and, most notably, a front-page feature on the Apple iTunes Store alongside global artists including Ellie Goulding, Neil Young, and Hans Zimmer. This recognition followed the release of his experimental EP “Heal Me” and its accompanying campaign, A NEW ERA IS COMING.
Beyond his contributions to Ambient Hip-Hop, Nicky has gained traction in film scoring, where he blends Sci-Fi Horror, World Ethnic instrumentation, and ethereal New Age soundscapes to craft immersive, cinematic experiences.
